Krabi is hands down one of the most beautiful holiday spots in Thailand. Surrounded by white sandy beaches, stunning islands and calming natural views, it’s the perfect destination for everyone. Whether you’re looking for a chill vacation, some adventure, a company team building trip or just want to indulge in delicious local food, Krabi has it all!

Recently, ikhlas.com team got the chance to enjoy a relaxing team building trip to Krabi. And let us tell you, even with just four days and three nights, there were so many fun things to do! But above all, this trip was about taking a breather from work and recharging our minds and energy for the days ahead.
Day 1: Arriving at Krabi Resort
Our journey started with a quick one hour 15 minutes AirAsia flight with 60 of us onboard. Upon arrival, we hopped on vans for a 40-minute ride to our hotel, and the scenery along the way was absolutely beautiful.
We stayed at Krabi Resort, located at Ao Nang Beach. The location couldn’t be better with halal eateries, spas and souvenir shops were all just a short walk away. The resort itself was spacious, with a private beach where you could chill without the crowd.

The resort offers several room types, such as:
Deluxe Hotel
Luxury Grand Room
Luxury Grand Pool
Suite Hotel
Plunge Pool Hotel
Tropical Pool Villa
Beachfront Pool Villa
For example, the Luxury Grand Pool room was huge, complete with a cozy bedroom, a spacious bathroom and even a balcony overlooking a large pool which is perfect for families too!

That evening, some of us pampered ourselves at the spa next door; from full body massages to manicures, all for less than RM100! Totally worth it. Later at night, we took a short five-minute walk to Ao Nang Landmark Night Market. The place was so lively and most stalls offered halal options, from Pad Thai and Mango Salad to Thai Tea and Kerabu Maggi. Of course, we couldn’t resist grabbing some souvenirs too.

Day 2: Explore Race & Gala Dinner
The day started early because we had planned a group activity. Our Explore Race had a relaxed theme which the goal was just to have fun, sweat a little and enjoy the moment. It was also the perfect time to see everyone’s strengths in a team setting. The ikhlas.com team was so pumped as we split into groups and raced from one checkpoint to another, completing every challenge along the way.

The activity covered the whole hotel area from the viewpoint to the beach, pool, gazebo, mini golf and even the archery area. All teams eventually gathered at the pool near the Deluxe Hotel rooms for the final challenge to decide the winner. The scores were based on how fast each team completed the tasks. After about three hours, the activity wrapped up, and the winning team would be announced later that night at the Gala Dinner.

The evening was magical. We decorated the open-air dining space with a classy beach vibe, and everyone showed up dressed according to the theme. Dinner was a feast with grilled fish, squid, prawns and a variety of authentic Thai dishes that had everyone going for seconds. The highlight of the night was the lucky draw prizes! The excitement was real every time a name was called. By 11 PM, we wrapped up the night with happy faces, full stomachs and lots of laughter.

Day 3: Relax and Explore
By day three, it was time to take things slow. We spent the morning just enjoying the calm around the resort, sipping fresh coconut by the beach while feeling the sea breeze. Honestly, you wouldn’t get bored even if you decided not to step out of Krabi Resort at all.

For lunch, we stopped by Sareefah Halal Food, a local spot serving authentic Thai dishes. Their fried rice is a must-try: Green Curry Fried Rice, Tomyam Fried Rice, Pineapple Fried Rice; each with its own unique flavour. Tomyam and Mango Shake are also crowd favourites. We loved the place so much that we kept coming back every day.

Of course, no trip to Thailand is complete without a visit to 7-Eleven! We stocked up on their famous burgers and grabbed Thai Tea to enjoy on the way back to the hotel.
For those who craved some adventure, a few rented motorbikes for 150 baht/hour to explore the area, while others tried kayaking for 250 baht/hour. Krabi also offers fun activities like golfing or even shooting for those looking for something different.
Day 4: Heading Home
The final morning was bittersweet. It was time to say goodbye to Krabi, the beautiful resort and the peaceful vibe we’d grown to love. We left with happy hearts and unforgettable memories, hoping to return, maybe to Krabi again or to another gem in Thailand.
