Qurban is an act of worship by slaughtering livestock such as camels, cows and goats on the day of Eidul Adha which is on the 10th of Dhul-hijjah (after the prayer) and the days of Tasyri' that follows which are the 11th, 12th, and 13th of Dhul-hijjah.
Yes, but it is necessary to tell the person that he intends to perform Qurban. Example: A child may perform Qurban on behalf of his parents in the village. However, the parents must have the intention (niat) to do so in order for the Qurban to be complete.
A representative contract should be made for those who represents the execution of Qurban to the program secretariat. The intention (niat) of the participants is also sufficient as a contract of representation.
Those with long-term financial debts such as home installments, car installments and the like are not included in the category of debt prohibited. However, if a person's debt is burdensome to the point of being unable to afford food and basic necessities, then it is not necessary to perform the act of Qurban.
It is act of Qurban performed within one's own community, slaughtering of the sacrifice with one's own hands or witnessing it, and participating in the distribution of the meat. Ideally, animals slaughtered should be those with the most meat, the best of which are camels, followed by cows and then goats.
Yes you may. If the period for Qurban is coming soon, then it is better to perform Qurban first as it can only be performed on 10-13 Dhul-hijjah each year. Meanwhile, Aqiqah can be done anytime of the year. If within your capability, you may also opt to do both at the same time.
