Where is the Qurban performed, and can I choose the country?
ikhlas.com performs Qurban in Malaysia (Qurban Local) and 35 foreign countries (Qurban Abroad).
Countries of operation include:
- Asia: Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Bangladesh, India, Indonesia.
- Africa: Mali, Chad, Kenya, Somalia, Tanzania.
- Refugee Camps: Rohingya (Myanmar-Bangladesh border) & Dadaab (Somalia-Kenya).
Choosing a country: Participants are not encouraged to choose the fulfilment country. Instead, the system registers the entry, and management assigns the fulfilment country based on the immediate needs of each location.
Why is the price of Qurban Abroad more affordable?
Our goal is to encourage as many Muslims as possible to perform the act of Qurban by offering accessible and affordable pricing. We achieve this by working with experienced partners who source livestock from countries with robust cattle farming industries. By purchasing directly from local farmers in large quantities, we eliminate middleman costs and ensure the best possible rates, allowing us to pass those savings directly to our participants.
What is the "Split Portion" option?
You can choose the amount of meat you wish to receive, whether it is 1/3, 2/3, or the full portion. If you select 1/3 or 2/3, your portion will be delivered to your home (approximately 8-12kg per portion), while the remaining meat will be distributed to asnaf communities through the ikhlas.com Sadaqah network.
Are there any additional charges for meat delivery?
There are no additional charges. The price for the "Qurban Local - Delivery" package is already all-inclusive of delivery straight to your doorstep. Please ensure you select this specific package during registration to enjoy this service.
What are the specifications (gender, size, age) of the Qurban animals?
Gender: Both male and female animals are accepted. The animal's gender is not a condition for the Qurban to be legitimate.
Age & Maturity:
- Camels: 5 years and above.
- Cows, buffaloes & goats: 2 years and above.
- Sheep: 1 year and above.
Health Requirements: The animals must not have any physical defects or diseases.
Additional Note: The best animals for slaughter are those with the most meat, but the specific size and weight are not conditions that dictate the legitimacy of the Qurban.
Is the meat from Qurban distributed in cooked or raw form?
Usually, the meat from Qurban will be distributed raw. If there is a need to organize an event, then part of the meat will be cooked.
How is the Akad (representative contract) managed? Is the registration form sufficient?
A representative contract (akad) should be made by those who are delegating the execution of their Qurban to the program secretariat. However, the sincere intention (niat) of the participant also serves as a sufficient contract of representation. Therefore, making the akad through the online registration form is completely sufficient. What truly matters is your intent and the transaction, and you can fulfill this by simply reading the akad provided on the online form during your registration.
Will I receive photos/proof of the Qurban, and when can I get my certificate?
We will provide your Qurban E-Certificate along with the proof of execution directly to your registered email once the Qurban is completed and the final reports have been successfully compiled by our fulfilment partners. You can easily download the documents from your email, or check and download them anytime via the ikhlas.com app under the "Activity" page.

What is the refund policy and how long does it take to process?
We do not offer refunds for Qurban orders. However, if your Qurban order is cancelled, postponed, or delayed due to unforeseen circumstances and through no fault of your own, our priority will be to provide an equivalent replacement (such as a similar cow or Qurban portion of equal value).
These replacements will be carried out within the Tashriq days, subject to the availability of our partners. All cases will be handled on a case-by-case basis. To request a replacement, please contact our customer support team immediately:

Does my credit card qualify for the 0% instalment plan?
The plan is exclusively for Islamic Credit Cards from the banks mentioned above (e.g., AmBank Al-Taslif, RHB Platinum-i, HSBC Amanah MPower, etc.). For Affin Bank, all their Islamic credit cards are eligible. If you're unsure, it’s best to check with your bank to see if your card is "Shariah-compliant" and supports IPP.
Can I pay for my Qurban in instalments?
Yes! We offer a 0% Profit Rate Instalment Payment Plan (IPP) for those using eligible Islamic Credit Cards from our partner banks. This allows you to perform your Qurban now and spread the cost over several months without any extra interest charges.
Our Commitment to Your Financial Well-being: While we strive to make this ibadah accessible, we urge you to consider the seriousness of debt in Islam. Before opting for IPP, please ensure you can manage the repayments comfortably. We encourage maintaining financial stability and avoiding unnecessary debt for your total peace of mind.
Which banks are eligible for the instalment plan?
Currently, we partner with four major Islamic banking providers. Please note the minimum spend required to unlock the instalment option:
- AmBank: Min spend RM 1,000 (6 or 12 months)
- RHB Bank: Min spend RM 500 (3, 6, or 12 months)
- HSBC Bank: Min spend RM 500 (3, 6, or 12 months) — Max limit RM 1,999.99
- Affin Bank: Min spend RM 1,000 (6 or 12 months) — Max limit RM 1,999.99
Can I change my instalment tenure after I’ve paid?
Unfortunately, no. Once you have selected your tenure (e.g., 6 months) and completed the checkout, it cannot be changed. Only one tenure option can be selected per transaction.
How is a credit card "Instalment Plan" Shariah-compliant?
Unlike conventional credit cards that charge interest (Riba), our partner banks use Islamic contracts to make instalments permissible:
- The Card (Tawarruq): Your Islamic card is based on a "commodity-backed" system. Instead of a simple loan, the bank involves the buying and selling of a physical commodity (like palm oil) to create your credit limit in a way that avoids interest.
- The Instalment (Murabahah): When you choose our 0% plan, it is treated as a "cost-plus-profit" sale. The bank essentially buys the Qurban service and sells it to you at a fixed price, allowing you to pay in parts.
Does "0% Interest" mean it’s just a loan?
Technically, in Islamic finance, we call it a 0% Profit Rate. Because this is a special promotion for ikhlas.com users, the bank or the merchant absorbs the profit margin. You pay exactly the price of the Qurban, split over your chosen months, with no hidden interest or compounding fees.
What is "Al-Taslif" seen on AmBank cards?
Al-Taslif is an Arabic term meaning "advance of funds." It’s a Shariah-approved way for the bank to extend credit to you without falling into interest-based lending. It’s simply the name of their Islamic credit facility.
Who ensures all of this is actually Halal?
All instalment plans offered through our payment partner and participating banks are governed by Bank Negara Malaysia’s Shariah Advisory Council and the Islamic Financial Services Act 2013. Each bank has its own Shariah Committee that signs off on these structures to ensure your peace of mind.
Are there penalties for late payments?
Unlike conventional cards where interest "snowballs" (compounds), Islamic cards are prohibited from doing this. If there is a late penalty (Ta'widh), a portion of it is often channeled to charity, and it will never compound into a mountain of debt.
Where can I read more about the official Shariah rulings (Hukum) on Islamic Instalments?
We believe in transparency. If you would like to deep-dive into the Shariah resolutions that govern Islamic credit cards and instalment plans in Malaysia, you may refer to the following official sources:
- Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) - Shariah Resolutions: You can browse the SAC's Shariah Resolutions which detail the permissibility of Tawarruq and Murabahah in financing (https://www.bnm.gov.my/committees/sac).
- e-Muamalat (JAKIM): For a general understanding of Islamic trade and finance in the Malaysian context, visit the Official Portal of e-Muamalat by the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) (https://e-muamalat.islam.gov.my/).
- Your Bank’s Shariah Disclosure: Each participating bank (AmBank Islamic, RHB Islamic, etc.) publishes a Product Disclosure Sheet on their respective websites that explains the specific Hukum and contract used for their 0% IPP.
Who handles my monthly deductions after the purchase?
Once your checkout is successful, the monthly instalment billing is managed entirely by your credit card-issuing bank, not by ikhlas.com.
You will see the monthly charges reflected in your bank statement. For any concerns regarding deduction dates, credit balance, or payment status, please contact your respective bank’s customer service directly, as ikhlas.com does not have access to your private banking details or credit card account management.
Will my qurban still be valid if I haven’t finished paying?
Yes, your qurban is still valid as long as the animal is purchased and sacrificed on your behalf during the qurban period. Our service ensures that the full cost of the animal is covered in advance, so your qurban will be performed on time even if your payments are ongoing.
